Lighter colors work best in summer weather, making it the perfect time to wear white, cream, light tan, light brown or khaki colored mens suits. More breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, and even some rayon blends are the best choices. An elegant pair of slacks in taupe paired with a light colored shirt (preferably white, cream, or eggshell) and softer colored tie can work for a more casual wedding sans the coat.

In the summer, many wedding parties and guests also choose to forego the super formality and opt for more colorful designer mens suits. Even if the groom still wears a more traditional tuxedos, many groomsmen have been sporting silver, eggshell, light gray, the gamut of light to slate blues, and other colors coordinating with the wedding theme.
